1. We are owned and run by skaters!

Ain't no-one as passionate and caring about skating as we are! We have been deep in the skate community for over 17 years as skaters and are widely respected in our skate circle. So we absolutely have a vested interest in giving you an excellent experience as well as excellent skates! This also means we know lots of stuff about rollerskates too. We have a HUGE amount of accumulated knowledge - we're basically walking encyclopedias!

2. We have a physical store as well as online

You can try on boots and skates as well as look at products in person AND speak to a real live human. Our specialty is our skate fitting service where we spend a whole heap of time with you getting the right fit. In fact sometimes customers spend upwards of 3 hours choosing their dream skates!

3. Our stock

We are like an Aladdin's Cave of rollerskates! We have full fitting stock of most of our major brands and unique access to many more products that we can custom order in for you. We often operate as a J.I.T (Just In Time) business which means we keep small amounts of stock in the shop and re-order in often. This means we can constantly update our products, getting in the latest things for you and we're not sitting on huge amounts of old products. If you don't see something on our site but know it exists....contact us and we very well might get it in for you! All our online orders are fulfiled from the stock we have at our physical premises, so we always know what's available. In order to be able to carry as many items as possible and give you the most amount of stuff to choose from, some things we order especially in for you at the point of purchase.

4. Our Distance Fitting Service

Created in 2019, we realised we had many UK customers who simply couldn't get in to see us. So we started this service where we can send multiple sizes of skate boots to you to try on at home, then once you've decided we mount them up and you got yourself a new pair o' rollerskates. This has been super successful in getting the right fitting boots for our customers across the country.

5. Postage tracking, Easy Returns and Exchanges

We send all our items tracked and our system sends you an email with the tracking number so you know exactly when to expect your order. We have a returns and exchanges portal accessible from your customer profile on our website which enables you to request returns and receive returns labels via Royal Mail or Parcelforce.

6. Personalised Website Content and Product Knowledge

Since day 1 we have always photographed our products in house against our iconic DTS back drop. We want you to know that we have physically looked at and tested most products in our store. When we get new products in, we can then write about them from experience. You'll find our product descriptions, blogs and FAQs full of personalised content rather than just cut and pasted from the manufacturer's website.

7. Savant-level dedication to knowing stuff

Want to know if that wheel will fit that axle? Which plate size will fit that boot? Which wide truck is compatible with which plate? Which boot you will fit based on what your current boot is despite the sizing being wackadoodle different? We can tell you because we have spent years worth of our time collating information, creating spreadsheets and compatibility charts.

8. We're Great When We Make Mistakes!

We can't get it right all the time but we reckon the mark of a great business is being able to get it right when we've got it wrong. Rest assured you won't need to get stern with us and start a fight to get a wrong righted. We want to make sure you'e happy so don't worry if you need to tell us we did a boo-boo!

We are woman and queer owned. We are big fans of the LGBTQ+ folk, we are trans-inclusive and anti-racist. We support many local community groups and are a welcoming and safe space for those who belong to marginalised communities.

We use the same orthopedic lasts for roller skates AND ice skates. The roller skates are made in the standard width "C" (wide fit).
You will figure out that you might actually need a smaller WIFA size than your usual shoes. They run big and your foot should have a rather snug fit. Your feet are the most important reference we work with. On our website you can print out the insoles. In order to avoid mistakes due to transmission distorsions, please remeasure the insoles after printing the A4 sheets!

The insoles help a lot to determine the size as you can visualize how much toe space you need. If you have wide feet at the front (e.g. Roman foot shape), you will need more toe space since the WIFA boots are slighly narrower at the toe cap. If you have narrower feet and a Greek or Agyptian foot shape you will need less space for a rather snug fit. But please leave at least 4 mm comfort toe space to be on the safe side - unless you can try them on in a shop.
For a STREET SUEDE you will need less toe space than with STREET DELUXE & STREET XTREME , because the suede leather is softer and more elastic and therefore adapts better to the skater’s foot shape. The following rule of thumb applies: STREET Deluxe & Xtreme - we recommend to take the same size as the shoe size (for skaters with wide feet at front) or half a size smaller (for standard or narrow feet).
STREET Suede - can be half a size smaller or even a full size smaller. Please read our Technical Guide for more detailed information and the relevant measuring tables.

We have a full sizing run of these boots in the shop and then we will usually order these in for you to make your custom build. 

We place our orders with Wifa on the first business day of the month and they usually arrive approx. 2-3 weeks later.

Deluxe:

Very flexible upper made of firm NUBUCK leather (thickness 2.0-2.2 mm), soft ankle padding providing both – support and protection of the ankle. The ankle PAD also prevents wrinkles in the ankle area.
The boots are designed for daily fun so they are very breathable and comfy due to the soft padding (tongue and boots) and the leather lining.
After a successful introductory period, this model has been continuously upgraded with better and better materials.  The suede leather is replaced by a very high quality, extra soft smooth leather lining and it will be reinforced a bit more in the ankle area.

The NUBUK leather boots have all the advantages of the suede shoes, but are made of firmer, thicker leather of a higher quality. For the stronger NUBUK version, we use 2 mm thick nubuck leather. The thick leather alone makes the boots stronger and more durable. Skaters who use their skates on a daily basis can develop their skills with firmer and therefore more durable boots.  They also can practice their first roller figure skating figures (not suitable for inline skaters, as more lateral stability is required here).  


Upper: Suede leather 2 - 2.2mm thick - padded

Liner: ultra soft smooth and breathable leather

Stiffness: ankle re-enforcement, padding, soft boot

Soles: leather soles, wooden heels, natural colour

Width: C-wide, comfortable with adjustable lacing

Sizes: 35-42EU (we have limited sizes of Black in 43, 44 and 45 while stocks last)

Use: jam/rhythm, street skating, basic park skating (simply due to a lot of advanced park skaters prefering a slightly thicker and more rigid boot)

Please note, as these are handmade suede boots, some variance in the consistency of the material is expected, including crocking (where parts may be more 'fuzzy' than others) or rubbing, or light/dark effects from pressing in the factory.

PLATES:

Elyo: lightweight aluminium plates with alu trucks and adjustable pivot pins. These have 7mm axles and a metric thread toestop. They have a 20 degree kingpin also.

WHEELS + Bearings

Fomoteam: 58mmx32mm/82A - a slightly harder outdoor wheel so this would be the better option if you are planning on doing more indoor dance skating.

Glasfox: 65mmx35mm/78A - soft outdoor wheel, perfect for skating from A to B.

We have a couple of shipping options available. Priority Tracked is usually 2-4 business days. Non-Priority Tracked can be between 3-7 business days. We offer FREE non-priority postage for orders over £100.00
Both options depend if we have stock ready to go, if we do, you might find you may receive it next day, regardless of the shipping selected! This time frame includes processing time, packaging up as well as the actual postage time. You can read more about our policies HERE

We offer exchanges and returns within 30 days. This is free if the item is faulty. We use Royal Mail Tracked Returns and you can do this through your customer account profile. This makes our prices seem very cheap as they will appear 20% cheaper for you! VAT/taxes, and any customs duty (usually approx. 3%) and processing fees by the courier will be paid for you when the item reaches your country. This includes for all EU customers. These skates were well worth the wait! The boot is so comfortable while also being supportive. I had a custom package made up and I'm really happy with the plate/boot combo I've ended up with. There were a few hiccups due to lead times or shipping mixups with suppliers, but Double Threat worked with me to resolve them and make me the skates of my dreams! So happy with them, they are so responsive I feel like I have to learn all over again in the best way - its like going from a slow old banger to a race car!

Fab! Well worth the low-cost upgrade

These are great! New to skating and changed to these cushions from the stock ones in my skates (Moxi rainbow riders) a few weeks into skating and it dramatically changed how I was able to skate. Before I was falling a lot because I didn’t have control of my edges, I had loosened the trucks but it wasn’t enough.

Definitely go by the weight guide for these first, as I was skeptical buying the second-hardest as I am tall but not overweight. And I was afraid they wouldn’t give much more movement, but I was wrong! I got the purple (85a) These were perfect. I imagine in the future I’ll play around with the softer ones but for now these are fantastic!

Powerdyne Magic Cushions. These are "soft". Went from very hard cushions on my derby skates - to these, they are super lively!! Helped me to learn that responsiveness in skates is to do with kingpin angle, cushion softness and tightness of trucks. No need to loosen trucks if you have these!

Game Changer!

Recently got back into skating and after struggling to get a good fit for my wide feet, I was introduced to WIFA and fell in love.
